                                               Lesson Policy 2023-2024

Christine provides high quality private piano lessons in a positive and supportive environment. Lessons are offered year round and are held weekly in 30 or 45 minute sessions. Christine follows the public school calendar for holiday closings and school vacations. Please see separate 2023-2024 Lesson Calendar.

The lesson rate is $35.00 per half hour lesson. Lessons are paid in blocks of 4. Payment for the next block of lessons is made in advance at the 4th lesson of the current block in order to keep reserved weekly lesson time slot. Payment methods include cash, check (payable to: Piano Mill), or Venmo (ask Piano Mill's Lesson Coordinator for details).

Lesson attendance should be treated as a priority in order to gain as much knowledge and skill as possible. If a student needs to cancel a lesson, they are asked to notify Piano Mill's Lesson Coordinator as soon as possible: (781) 982-8880. Students will be allowed 3 missed lessons for each half of the school year (September-January and February-June) without being charged for the lesson. After the third missed lesson, any further absences will be counted in the paid block of 4 as if the lesson had been given. If the teacher needs to cancel a lesson, the student will receive a credit toward their next unpaid lesson.

Summer: During the summer (July-August), students will not be charged for any missed lessons, except for no-shows. If a student wishes to take a break from lessons during the summer but would like to keep their reserved weekly lesson time slot for the fall, they may do so by making a non-refundable deposit (prepayment for at least 1 lesson) by August 15th. After August 15th, any lesson time slots that have not been secured with a deposit will be considered open and lesson time reservations will be made on a first come, first serve basis.

Piano Mill will do its best to contact students if it needs to close due to severe weather. Students may also check the store's Facebook page for updates.
